The Bellflower of Martini (Campanula martinii) was described as a new species in 2013, taking into account a plant collected near Varese. It is found exclusively in the area between Varese and Brescia, in the considered area between Pizzoni di Laveno and Campo dei Fiori. It differs from the more similar species of the Campanula rotundifolia group by the papillose calyx and the long, erect or ascendant stems with many flowers. The leaves are linear and long.
