Fringed water-lily

The Fringed Water-lily (Nymphoides peltata) is a plant with leaves floating on the water in shallow places along the shores of lakes. Due to the strong impact of man, its habitats are in great danger and the plant is at risk of extinction in Italy, with only a few stations still existing. Fortunately, it is still abundant in Lake Comabbio.
